On the 2nd of December 2021 the POWERPOOR Project with the EU Covenant of Mayors organised an event entitled

Empowering Energy Poor Citizens through Joint Energy Initiatives 

In the event the Status and Perspectives of Energy Poverty in Europe were discussed along with the role the cities and municipalities can play in tackling the phenomenon. Representatives from the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub elaborated on their role in alleviating energy poverty. Then special focus was given to the Spanish circumstances and the status of energy poverty in Spain.
